The Owensboro Youth Hockey Association is offering a free on-ice youth hockey skills clinic for children in the community on Saturday. The event aims to provide an opportunity for local youth to experience the excitement of hockey without the cost of purchasing equipment.
All participants must register here. The clinic is designed for boys and girls aged 4 to 9 with no prior hockey or skating experience.
Full hockey equipment, including skate rental, will be provided, making the program ideal for any family. Check-in and equipment fitting will be held at the Edge Ice Center from 4:30-5:30 p.m., followed by on-ice instruction from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Participants will receive instruction from Owensboro Youth Hockey Association coaches and Owensboro Rampage players. The Rampage hockey team won state championships in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
