Apollo High School graduate Grace Bush was named the University of Kentucky’s 2022 homecoming queen last weekend.

Bush, 21, is a current senior graduating in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Public Health. After graduation, she will continue at UK for her Master of Public Health and apply to Physician Assistant school in the spring.

At UK, Bush currently serves as the DanceBlue Overall Chair and she is an active member of the Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity. She is the daughter of Randy and Robin Bush.

“I am just over the moon about this honor,” she said. “From a young age, I have known that I wanted to attend the University of Kentucky and have a family that bleeds blue. Since coming to UK, I have poured myself into the University and believe that it is the responsibility of students at the University to serve the Commonwealth.”

Bush will graduate from the UK in May, but she said she will leave with more than a degree.

“I will leave with a sense of purpose and a passion to continue serving the vulnerable populations of the Commonwealth,” she said.

Johnny Zelenak II, of Oldham County, was named UK’s homecoming king.
