According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, south winds may occasionally gust up to around 30 to 35 mph throughout the region today. Drivers on east to west orientated roadways are recommended to slow down and be prepared for a combination of gusty winds and wet roads.
The NWS also warns that uprooted trees will be possible where the soil is still saturated from recent heavy rains.
Thunderstorms will spread north through the area Monday afternoon and evening. Severe weather is possible in our area, along with damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall, according to NWS’s forecast.
Although no accumulation is expected, there is a chance of snow mainly north of the Ohio River late Thursday night into early Friday.
