The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce’s Red, White and Blue presented by Big Rivers Electric Corporation is Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the People’s Square on the Daviess County Courthouse Lawn.

All candidates for Daviess County related Kentucky House and Senate Races are on the agenda.

Red White and Blue is a non-partisan, family-friendly event hosted by the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce with presenting sponsor Big Rivers Electric Corporation. It is a culmination of the Chamber’s GO Vote! Campaign which encourages all eligible voters to vote.

“Exercising the right to vote is not only a privilege, it is an obligation,” said Candance Castlen Brake, President and Chamber CEO. “The Chamber wants all citizens to participate in the process. Owensboro is often disregarded in statewide conversations. In order to have a seat at the table, we need to demonstrate that we are paying attention. Voting is a fundamental way for citizens to be able to unite and give Owensboro a voice.”

Red, White and Blue is an opportunity to meet the major party candidates for federal and state offices and to hear from each about their positions and policy initiatives.

Candidates for Owensboro City Commission, Daviess County District Court, Daviess County Commissioner, Daviess County Jailer and Daviess County Clerk are all on the program.

The event begins promptly at 4 p.m. with District Court candidates.

The Fraternal Order of Police will be on hand to serve free hot dogs and hamburgers.
