Firearm discharge during robbery; OPD investigating

Firearm discharge on Wednesday.

On Monday, Sept. 17, the Owensboro Police Department was dispatched to the 2100 block of Tamarack Road in reference to a firearm discharge. Further investigation revealed a firearm had been discharged during the commission of a robbery inside an apartment where the firearm was taken.

The victims are Tyler Mattingly, 18, and Kayla Mattingly, 22.

No information was released about potential suspects.
