The Women’s Business Center of Kentucky will be in Owensboro on Thursday to hold an expo event designed to equip female entrepreneurs with tools to launch and grow their businesses.
The “Women in Business Empowerment Expo” will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Party Space Place (5010 Wildcat Way), a local female-owned business.
Expo admission costs $10, and registration can be done online here. For more information or to sign up for the expo, click here.
Each workshop includes training on starting a business, finance basics, marketing, Quickbooks, and small business financing options. The events also provide opportunities to network with small business resource providers, lending institutions, and other local and regional entrepreneurs.
“Entrepreneurs play a key role in strengthening Kentucky’s economy, and we launched this series to help women-owned businesses and aspiring female entrepreneurs by connecting them with tools and experienced business builders,” said Devanny King, Executive Director of the Women’s Business Center of Kentucky. “I am grateful to our sponsors for supporting our efforts to set entrepreneurs up for success.”
Founded in 2011, the Women’s Business Center of Kentucky helps women entrepreneurs, especially those economically or socially disadvantaged, start and grow businesses in Kentucky. The WBC is partly funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and hosted by Community Ventures Corporation.
