Twenty years after opening shop in Owensboro, Poole’s Pharmacy Care has closed its Springs location, venturing further east on KY 54. The new site — located at 4333 Springhill Drive, Suite 101 — opened for business on Monday.
The first Poole’s Pharmacy Care opened in 1990 on Broad Street in Central City. The Owensboro location in the Springs was the first expansion pharmacy, which came in 2003. They added a site in Livermore in 2006 and Greenville in 2015.
“Owensboro has always been great to us,” said Lisa Poole, who owns the pharmacies with her husband, Ron. “We’re excited to venture a little further away from the bypass to serve even more great customers.”
Poole said they’re excited about the new location and that it offers a seamless drive-thru experience. She said it would also provide more convenience to their patients.
“We’re definitely optimistic about our new location,” she said. “We’re happy to be in this area, our landlord has been great, and the surrounding businesses have been very welcoming.”
Poole’s Pharmacy Care takes pride in being locally owned and boasts a friendly staff. Poole said their goal is to positively influence their patients’ health while providing quality merchandise and service.
The pharmacy offers delivery, medical equipment, CPAP supplies, compounding, and more.
The new Poole’s Pharmacy location shares a building with RE/MAX and is near the strip center that houses Trunnel’s Farm Market and Gourmet Deli.
“We have the same great staff offering the same level of quality of service, ready to take care of all your pharmacy needs,” Poole said.
