Goodwood Brewing and Spirits has announced they will open their bar and restaurant in downtown Owensboro on July 24. The restaurant will be located on the first floor of the Enclave building at the corner of Frederica Street and Veterans Boulevard.

A Goodwood representative said Friday that they will be doing giveaways at Friday after 5 on July 21 and 28.

Goodwood offers a diverse menu with southern classics in addition to specializing in craft beers and spirits.

The building already featured a spacious patio for outdoor dining. After renovations inside, there will be a full kitchen and bar accented by two large four-panels TVs and nearly 20 more TVs throughout the restaurant. The Owensboro location will seat approximately 250 people between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

“It’s really just gonna be very much a fun, laid-back atmosphere that allows people to enjoy the river and great quality food and beverage at the exact same time,” Chris Sparks, Chief Operating Officer for Goodwood’s restaurants, said in a previous interview.

Goodwood’s southern-inspired menu features a wide array of starters, salads, sandwiches, and wings that are tossed in one of their house-made and beer-infused hot sauces. Their drink menu will feature a full line of their own products as well as some seasonal or collaborative products.

The Owensboro location will make the sixth restaurant for the brewing company.

“The menu is pretty much a duplication of our menu that we have at our other locations,” Sparks said previously. “We brew our own beer, so a lot of what we offer will be our own brand, but we will also carry other brands.”

Sparks previously said the company is looking forward to joining the Owensboro community.

“We are excited to be opening another location in our home state,” he said previously. “We were drawn to Owensboro with the continued growth of the community and we have always had a great response from the craft beer community in Western Kentucky. When we saw the location in Owensboro, we fell in love with the view of the river. We look forward to being part of the community and giving back when we have the opportunity.”
