A three-unit building under construction in Gateway Commons will house a gas station/convenience store at one end and a liquor store at the other, with a Little Caesars in the middle. It will be built at the intersection of Hayden Road and Anderson Lane, which is essentially across from the Malco movie theater.
Signage on the property says simply “coming soon” but shows a rendering of the building. It also shows that the liquor store will be called Barrel Heads and the gas station/convenience store will be called Take10 Market.

Documents obtained by Owensboro Times show Anderson Lane will be built out on the east side of Hayden Road (Anderson is currently only on the west side of Hayden and forms a T-intersection), just enough to allow for the entrances/exits for the new development.
Those documents show that building will face north toward what will be the Anderson Lane extension. The gas station/convenience store will be on the west end of the building (closest to Hayden Road) and will take up 3,167 square feet. Five gas pumps would be between the building and Hayden Road.
Little Caesars will be 1,205 square feet and will have a drive-thru on the back side of the building, according to the document.
The liquor store will be 3,993 square feet and will have a drive-thru on the east end of the building, according to the document.
Building permits were issued last month, showing the entire building will cost nearly $2.19 million to construct. The property owner is listed as RAJ Poperties 2 LLC, while Envision Contractors is handling construction and Westerfield Electric is doing the electrical work.
