Jordan Patsalides saw an opportunity and jumped at it. Earlier this year, he opened Draft Line Solutions, specializing in draft beer line installation, repair, and maintenance. The Owensboro native is no stranger to the beverage industry, with 10 years of experience as a bartender and several years as a sales supervisor.
Patsalides grew familiar with draft lines early on by working at TGI Fridays and in his sales role at the local Budweiser. He put his experience and knowledge to use by helping to build the draft system at Brew Bridge, Owensboro’s first craft brewery.
“I got certified through Micromatic in Chicago, which is a leading manufacturer of the parts and equipment associated with the lines,” Patsalides said. “During my roles in the industry, I constantly heard, ‘Who can work on these lines?’ And there was nothing in the area.”
Before Draft Line Solutions, area restaurants and bars would have to seek help from Louisville or Nashville. Recognizing the open market and understanding the need for additional lines with the emergence of craft beer, Patsalides jumped at the opportunity.
