Sha-Pel Dulin has one message for everyone: “Just Breathe Luv.” So that’s the name of her yoga studio, where she aims to help people through holistic yoga and wellness.

Dulin said she hopes to offer people a safe place for to restore their mental health and practice peaceful procedures. Additionally, she plans on offering nutritional education to help with the holistic experience.

“If you get some help in one area of getting your life or body right, you can also get some nutritional background and some mental to go with it,” Dulin said. “My whole thing is I just love making sure that our mind, our body, and our spirits are in complete alignment so that we’re living up to the ability that we can.”

Dulin got her start in 8th grade after reading a book about yoga at Owensboro Middle School, and she said from there she was hooked on the world of yoga. She developed a passion for learning about yoga, specifically lessons on breathing patterns.

As life went on, she would practice those lessons on herself and her brothers in moments of conflict and tension.

“It’s helped me as a parent, as a college student, in my 9-to-5, just staying afloat. And also I love the energy that it gives me in my physical abilities,” Dulin said.

While she is in the gym quite a bit, Dulin feels doing yoga and meditation allows her to properly gain mental peace and fill her body with positive energy.

After a soft opening this weekend, Dulin is officially opening the studio on President’s Day, February 20, so people don’t have to worry about work or school interfering. The studio is located at 650 Chuck Gray Court, and Dulin said anyone interested can follow her on Facebook and her website to learn when the classes occur.

Dulin said all classes are open for guests of all ages and no experience is required. On the weekend leading up to the grand opening, Dulin will host $5 classes for anyone interested.

“The classes are for anybody and everybody. We are all human,” she said. “We all have the same genetic makeup, and we all need to be taking care of ourselves.”
