Triple B Archery and Outdoors is set to expand with the opening of a new location at 46 Salem Drive, with plans to welcome customers in the second week of April.
The move includes two newly constructed buildings, allowing the business to broaden its inventory and provide a fresh, updated atmosphere for archery enthusiasts.
Brad Mills, owner of Triple B Archery and Outdoors, said the last 10 months have been incredible since he opened the store last spring at 1915 West 7th Street near the intersection with Crabtree Avenue (the former home of Sportsman Headquarters).
“We couldn’t have asked for a more positive response and support from the community,” he said.
Mills, an Owensboro Catholic High School alum, credits his deep-rooted passion for the outdoors to his father, who introduced him to hunting at a young age. His mentor, Tracy Heath, operated Sportsman Headquarters for 35 years, creating a gathering place for hunting and fishing aficionados.
Triple B carries all the major bow lines, sight companies, and bow fishing equipment in addition to numerous arrows, LaCrosse boots, targets, releases, and more. He can also repair just about anything.
But Mills said the new space will offer increased capacity for products that weren’t feasible in the previous location.
“Our main focus is having more room and a cool new atmosphere, but we’re also looking forward to expanding our inventory options,” Mills said. “There’s a lot I wanted to carry before but just didn’t have the space for.”
Imperial Lawns will also operate out of one of the new buildings at the Salem Drive location.
