The Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation (GOEDC) and the Kentucky Small Business Development Center are teaming up to offer a free, hands-on workshop designed to help local business owners grow their companies and reduce their day-to-day burdens.
The event, titled Next-Level Operations, will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 26 at Bayside at The Party Space Place. It will feature nationally recognized business experts and interactive sessions focused on creating more self-sufficient organizations.
“At GOEDC, we’re dedicated to equipping local businesses with the resources they need to grow and succeed,” said Jamie Johnson, vice president of workforce development, small business and entrepreneurship at GOEDC. “If you’ve ever felt stuck in the daily grind of owning a business, this workshop will help you step into true leadership and build a business that operates efficiently — even without you. We’re bringing in nationally recognized experts to give entrepreneurs and small business owners the strategies and insights they need to reach their full potential.”
Leading the workshop are David Hasler and Drew Sutton, both of whom have extensive experience in business strategy, leadership, and operations. Hasler is the founder and president of Breakthrough Solutions Consulting and has held executive roles with companies such as Walmart, Procter & Gamble, and Limited Brands. Sutton, a best-selling author and former chief engineer at Lockheed Martin, has built a career around helping leaders create high-performance cultures and scalable business models.
Participants will take part in interactive discussions and exercises focused on shifting from reactive management to strategic leadership, defining a clear business vision, and developing efficient, scalable systems. The training will also include strategies for building teams that thrive without micromanagement.
The event begins with networking and an enrollment activity, followed by expert-led sessions. It will wrap up with a Q&A and complimentary lunch.
While the event is free, space is limited and registration is required. For more information or to sign up, visit edc.owensboro.com/nextlevel.
