Graceland Portable Buildings has opened a new dealership in Owensboro, offering a range of customizable sheds, barns, and other portable structures built to last. Managing the location is Presley Quisenberry, who took on the role after a career change from distributing candy to working in the portable building industry.

Quisenberry said the opportunity caught his attention while searching for a way to stay closer to his family while growing professionally.

“I wanted something that allowed me to be closer to home,” Quisenberry explained. “I used to travel a lot for my previous job, and now I get to be here for my daughter while doing something new and challenging.”

Quisenberry first saw the opportunity through an online job posting while searching for a new career path and was selected to manage the location following months of discussions with Graceland’s regional sales team.

“They were looking for the right person to run the Owensboro dealership,” Quisenberry said. “It’s a one-man operation, so they wanted someone who could take ownership of it. We talked for quite a while before everything was finalized, and once they secured the location, I was given the keys to open it.”

Graceland Portable Buildings is located at 3030 KY 144, near the intersection with Pleasant Valley Road and in the parking lot in front of the Consumer Mall. The company, which has dealerships across the country, specializes in sheds, barns, garages, and other portable structures built in Cunningham, Kentucky, and delivered to customers.

The company offers a rent-to-own model with no credit check required, as well as the option for customers to purchase buildings outright. Quisenberry said one of the most common misconceptions is that the company charges high interest rates, but that is not the case.

“There’s no traditional financing or interest rates attached,” he said. “It’s a rent-to-own agreement, meaning the company owns the building until it’s fully paid off. Some people think they’re paying on something that isn’t really theirs, but in reality, once the payments are completed, they own the building outright.”

The company emphasizes durability and efficiency in its structures. Buildings include a patented soffit ventilation system designed to regulate airflow and reduce moisture buildup, as well as the G Board Radiant Barrier that reflects up to 97% of the sun’s radiant heat. Flooring and siding vary by series, with about two dozen colors available.

Custom-built structures take approximately four to six weeks for delivery, while in-stock models can typically be delivered within 10 to 14 days, Quisenberry said. Graceland Portable Buildings offers free delivery within a 50-mile radius.

The Owensboro location is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with appointments outside those hours available upon request. Monthly promotions and additional information can be found on the company’s Facebook page or by calling 270-313-0017.
