The 34th annual Home Expo will offer a unique opportunity to showcase a variety of home improvement and lifestyle products. The event aims to benefit both vendors and attendees by fostering valuable face-to-face interactions in a digital age. While approximately 40 vendors have already signed up, organizers hope to double that and are accepting applications now.
The expo, hosted by the Green River Building Industry Association (GRBIA), is set for March 8-9 at the Owensboro Convention Center.
Adam Hicks, executive officer of GRBIA, said last year’s Home Expo featured 45 exhibitors, but the goal this year is to expand to 70-80 booths.
“We already have 40 exhibitors signed up, including electricians, plumbers, window companies, HVAC businesses, countertop specialists, pool and hot tub vendors, and even RV dealers,” Hicks said. “It’s really a full range of home and lifestyle services.”
This will be the second consecutive year the event offers free admission, thanks to presenting sponsors Lee Building Products and People’s Bank.
Hicks emphasized the value of in-person interaction at the expo, especially in an era dominated by online shopping.
“Meeting the people behind the products and services makes a huge difference,” Hicks said. “It’s a great way for businesses to build relationships and for the public to find inspiration for home projects.”
In addition to the two-day expo, a kickoff party for exhibitors will be held on March 7 at the Home Builders Association office.
GRBIA is still accepting exhibitor applications. For more information or to register, contact Hicks at (270) 688-0353 or [email protected]. Further details can also be found at www.greenriverbia.com/owensboro-home-expo.
