Get your taste buds ready, because the 2025 Owensboro Burger Week dates have been announced. Prices have increased $1 compared to previous years.
This year’s event will run from March 7-15, showcasing signature burgers from restaurants throughout the city and county. The participating restaurants and the burgers they’ll feature won’t be announced until a later date.
During Owensboro Burger Week, each participating business will sell a burger of their choosing for $8. It’s up to the businesses to decide if that includes tax, as well as if the burger comes with any sides.
A tasting panel of “local celebrities and food critics” will judge all the burgers from each of the participating restaurants throughout the week, without knowing which restaurant the burger came from. Judges will tally all of the scores to select an overall winner, who will receive a traveling trophy and bragging rights for the Burger of the Year. The German American Bank People’s Choice award will also return this year.
This year’s event is sponsored by sponsored by the Kentucky Beef Council, German American Bank, Hill View Farms Meats, and Green River Distilling Company.
A total of 40 businesses competed last year, with organizers reporting that more than 57,300 burgers and roughly 14,000 pounds of beef were sold during the 9-day contest.
