Amanda Wilson – the owner of Top Notch Events, LLC – is on a mission to make a difference in Western Kentucky through her event planning business. She created the company as a passion project after promoting skincare products at vendor events, growing it into a community-focused venture that supports local nonprofits.
“I love helping others,” Wilson said. “My goal is to make a positive difference for those in need and to help more people as my business grows.”
Wilson, who balances her roles as a wife and mother and advocate for healthy skin care, first considered becoming an event planner after participating in a vendor event in Brentwood, Tennessee.
“That’s where I began brainstorming the idea that I should be an event planner,” she said.
Despite facing personal challenges, including back surgery in early 2023, Wilson pushed forward with her business.
“I’m as healed as I can be and ready to once again make a positive difference,” she said.
Top Notch Events hosts vendor events with a unique twist—each event is tied to a local nonprofit. Wilson recently added 50/50 cash raffles to her fundraising activities, beginning in July 2024, to help further support charitable causes.
Her efforts have included raising money for families facing hardships, participating in food drives, and even repairing homes for those in need.
“I believe public outreach is key,” she said. “And I’ve always wanted to play a part in making a difference in the world.”
In the future, Wilson hopes to expand her team and amplify her impact on the community. She also offers planning services for a variety of events, including weddings, parties, showers, and grand openings.
