Windy Hollow Speedway to host Ford Crown Victoria Figure 8 for first time

Windy Hollow Raceway Park will host 3 days of racing action during the Labor Day weekend, including two events never hosted at the track.

Friday
Windy Hollow Dragway will host “Friday Night Fun.” The event will include test-and-tune, as well as a trophy race at 9 p.m. Track officials hope competitors will “take it off the street and onto the strip” in a safe, no-pressure environment.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the track goes hot at 6:30. It’s $25 to compete, while general admission is $12 for adults and free for those ages 12 and under.

Saturday
Windy Hollow Dragway will host WDRA Summit Sportsman Drag Racing. Classes include Super Pro, Pro, Factory Street, Sportsman, Jr Dragster, Trophy, and Motorcycle.

Gates open at 3 p.m. with time trials at 5 and eliminations following the second round of trials. General admission is $12 for adults and free for those ages 12 and under.

Sunday
Windy Hollow Speedway will host dirt track racing including CRUSA Street Stocks (paying $1,500-to-win, sponsored by Young Concrete Supply), Economies, Bomber, Rusty Bolt, Mini Stock, and 602 Crate Late Models. The track, for the first time, will also host two Ford Crown Victoria races (oval and figure 8) presented by EZ Auto Parts.

Gates open at 3 p.m. with qualifying at 5:30 and racing to follow. General admission is $12 for adults and free for those ages 12 and under.
