The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum kicked off its group music lessons on Tuesday, August 6. They’ve added a one-week grace period for late sign-ups until Aug. 13.

Classes are available for various age groups, starting with the Bluegrass Basics Class for kids ages 6-8. In this class, children will learn to play banjoleles and percussion instruments, write songs, and play musical games.

For older students, ages 9 and up, lessons are offered in fiddle, guitar, and mandolin, with banjo lessons available for those 12 and older. Skill levels range from beginner to intermediate.

Additionally, a band class is available for students interested in learning to play alongside other instruments. The nine-week program meets every Tuesday, concluding with a final performance for family and friends.

Instruments are available for loan with a $50 deposit, which is refundable upon return.
