Marquette Transportation Company – a full-service marine shipping provider – is hiring for several vacancies, including for cooks and other crew members. The company will host open interviews for the fall harvest season in Owensboro on Wednesday.
Interviews will be held at the Kentucky Career Center at 3108 Fairview Drive from 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.
The company will also be hosting interviews in Henderson at the Henderson County Library at 101 South Main Street on Thursday at the same times.
Marquette touts itself as one of the nation’s premier marine transportation service companies. It is currently hiring cooks, deckhands, engineers, and wheelhouse staff. Officials with the company said relocation isn’t necessary.
Their website states Marquette offers one of the industry’s most attractive compensation and benefits packages and has a responsive and supportive management team to support each mariner in accomplishing their goals.
The company also offers health, dental, and vision insurance, along with voluntary life insurance. Other benefits include financial safety incentives, holiday pay, FSAs, 401Ks with a company match, and a significant bonus and incentive structure.
According to a release, they also boast an excellent fleet of vessels, which are regularly upgraded. They include the latest navigational and communication technologies, comfortable living accommodations with satellite TVs, and fully-equipped galleys and sleeping cabins.
