On Friday, Anderson his bringing is renowned act, The Rocket Man Show, to Owensboro.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. at the RiverPark Center. Tickets are available here starting at $39.

The show’s website says: “Hand-picked by Elton John & David Furnish, Rus recreates the magic and live persona of a young Elton like no other. Storming around the stage with a fun-loving sense of flamboyance; part diva, part soccer player, killer vocalist, fierce piano player, all rock-and-roller. It is clearly the most authentic Elton John tribute show in the world.”

Not only does Anderson’s performance include singing John’s greatest hits while playing piano, but Anderson wears remakes of John’s colorful and spectacular costumes — including iconic boots, glasses, and jumpsuits from the ’70s, as well as sparkly Swarovski tuxedos from the ’80s.

“The performance itself is an extremely sincere, intense, and visual spectacle of a journey,” the show’s website says. “With the perfect blend of humor, cabaret, costuming, tales from the road, ballads, and thunderous rock songs, audiences laugh, cry, sing, and dance as they recall the highs and lows of Elton’s epic career.”
