The Sunset Cruisers will kick off their 2024 season this May, with the monthly car show to be held on the Owensboro Community and Technical College campus on New Hartford Road.
The event relocated to OCTC at the end of the 2023 season, a move organizers said was met with positive feedback.
“It’s one of the best things we ever did. We should have done that a couple of years ago,” Club Spokesman Steve McNatton said.
With dozens of trees in the field and lining the driveway, there is plenty of shade to stay under at OCTC. The campus is located at 4800 New Hartford Road, but attendees should use the entrance off Veach Road.
Other perks of using the campus include full restrooms, plenty of parking, and the ability to set up in either the field on sunny days or the parking lot on rainy ones.
McNatton said there will be caterers/vendors on site with soft drinks and snacks for guests to enjoy.
The group meets on the first Saturday of every month from May to September. Most meets will run from 4-8 p.m., except for October’s even which will run from 3-7 p.m.
The Cruisers schedule and themes will be as follows this season:
- May 4 – Trucks
- June 1 – Ford
- July 6 – GM
- August 3 – Mopar
- September – Modern Muscle
- October 5 – Jeep
