The RiverPark Center cut the ribbon on their new event venue Friday afternoon. The new space, aptly called BackStage, allows the room and the courtyard to be rented out for a variety of events.
The space occupies what was formerly the GhostLight Lounge. RPC first indicated the area would be utilized as a rental space in June 2022.
Director of Development Jennifer Richardson said RPC recently completed renovations, including removing the stage, re-flooring the area, and repainting the walls.
“It offers a great space for small business meetings, class reunions, baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, whatever you would like,” Richardson said.
The space is also able to serve alcohol for events if requested. Through their ABC license, RPC staff will be working as bartenders. In addition to bar service, they also have TVs and other equipment ready from the RPC’s inventory.
“If you need sound or whatever, we’ve got everything. From projectors and digital displays in there for the giant TV, we can put music speakers, whatever anybody needs,” Richardson said.
Richardson said they aimed to make the rentals affordable for users, with rates starting at about $424. For those interested in renting the location, contact Jaynan Day by emailing [email protected].
