Tina Kasinger was born and raised in Owensboro and worked a couple of different jobs before retiring to stay home and keep her grandchildren.
After 7 years of being a full-time Nana, all of the children were in school and Kasinger wanted something to fill her time.
So, she went back to work part-time with Daviess County Public Schools. But she wanted more.
“I was just missing something that I could do for myself but also help others,” she said.
Now she is the owner/operator of SerenDipity Chocolate Fountains, a state-of-the-art commercial chocolate fountain service that launched earlier this month.
Kasinger said a dear friend, Dana, mentioned to her the chocolate fountain service she and her husband had decided to slowly step away from after 15 years.
“It stirred my curiosity,” Kasinger said. “I played with the idea (of taking it over) for a few months until I finally decided Owensboro needed this.”
SerenDipity Chocolate Fountains offers dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, and even colored chocolate to match a party theme. She said a chocolate fountain service is great for any wedding, corporate event, open house, fundraiser, prom, or birthday party.
“It will wow your guests,” Kasinger said.
