Bath & Body Works is opening a location in Gateway Commons off KY 54.
A pair of building permits have been issued showing the store will be located at 2490 Calumet Trace Suite 2. That means it will go in the space directly beside Orangetheory Fitness, which opened in January 2023.
Owensboro’s current Bath & Body Works is located at 5000 Frederica Street inside Towne Square Mall. A staff member there said they have been instructed not to answer questions pertaining to the new location.
Owensboro Times has not received a response from the Bath & Body Works media department regarding whether the current store is relocating from the mall or if the retailer is adding a second location.
However, a February 27 release from the company stated that in the Fiscal Year 2022, Bath & Body works closed 48 stores, principally in malls, and opened 95 off-mall North American stores.
The release stated that during Fiscal Year 2023, the company “plans to sustain this pace with 115 real estate projects, consisting of 90 new off-mall locations and 25 remodels to the White Barn store design, offset by approximately 50 mall closures.”
