Aaron Kizer and Maker’s Mark collaborated on a special selection of Owensboro-themed bottles featuring a hand-drawn image by Kizer. The limited number of bottles will be auctioned off this Saturday at Lure Seafood & Grille.
Kizer said he has been working with the distillery for about 6 years on creative projects, but this was a special collaboration.
“I’m pretty pumped about the fact that they allowed us to do it and allowing us to sell them down at Lure. The only real problem we have is that we couldn’t do mass amounts because they’re hand-drawn,” Kizer said.
Kizer said they will only be selling six bottles, hopefully giving people an extra reason to enjoy the limited-edition bottle.
To raise suspense, Kizer didn’t want to release the looks of the bottles ahead of time. But he did hint that he incorporated a recent topic that the people of Owensboro will find very familiar.
Outside of those six bottles, Kizer said some of his other limited-edition bottles will be on display as well — and that there would be a taste test.
Kizer is also doing a live painting on a barrel from Maker’s Mark, and that will also be auctioned off. On the patio, they will have a cigar bar for guests.
The event is limited to 150 people. To RSVP, call 270-240-4556.
