Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is set to host a “Hootenany” on April 29 at Yellow Creek Park in recognition of the theatre’s volunteers, both past and present. Attendees can expect a petting zoo, a cold campfire sing-along, face painting, a cornhole tournament, and food.
The free event, which will run from 1-4 p.m. at Jim Lambert Pioneer Village, is made possible by funding from Daviess County Fiscal Court.
The Lure Smoke Shack food truck will be on hand, and Coldstone Creamery will provide ice cream, available while supplies last.
T.W.O. organizers said the event is a way of expressing gratitude to the volunteers who make community theatre possible.
