Puzzle Pieces announces teams for 2023 Lip Sync Battle

Puzzle Pieces on Thursday announced the lineup for their 2023 Owensboro Lip Sync Battle, which will take place January 14. One of the five battles will feature three former champions facing off against each other. Tickets go on sale November 1.

The following eleven local businesses and groups are set to take the stage at the Owensboro Convention Center:

Mom Squad (a group of moms from Whitesville) vs. Lee Upton of Kentucky Farm Bureau vs. Hose Handlers (firefighter wives)

According to Puzzle Pieces Executive Director Amanda Owen, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the 2023 event. 

“We have an incredible lineup in store and we are excited to see what each team will bring,” she said. “For the first time ever, we have three powerhouse teams taking on each other in a Battle Royale. All three are former champs and have raised a significant amount of money for Puzzle Pieces.”

Emcees Chad Benefield and Angel Welsh of WBKR will return this year. Vineyard Primary Care, the medical practice of Dr. Jeremy Luckett, has joined the Lip Sync Battle team as the new title sponsor.

This event serves as the primary fundraiser for Puzzle Pieces, a local nonprofit that serves more than 400 clients with intellectual disabilities.
