The Owensboro Convention Center is set to host one of its first major events this year with the Fear Expo LIVE on Jan. 21-23.
The expo is held to allow haunt industry members to come together, purchase other items and learn about the developing industry.
While the the show floor is free to attend there are varying prices for seminars and events like the costume ball, makeup demo and parties.
CEO and President of Visit Owensboro Mark Calitri said that the use of the Convention Center this month helps reinforce the pillars of the organization’s success heading into the new year.
“One of Visit Owensboro’s pillars of success is to maximize the economic impact of the Owensboro Convention Center. Fear Expo highlights a community-wide team effort to attract national caliber events,” Calitri said.
The expo has generated a large following with organizations on the national level with groups from Florida, Nebraska, Michigan and other states interested in coming.
Calitri said the expo is sure this will be a beneficial week for the economic impact of the city.
