After a 1-year hiatus, the Your Perfect Day Wedding Show returns Sunday to the Owensboro Convention Center, offering a one-stop-shop of help for planning for an upcoming wedding.
From 12 to 4 p.m., different booths will be set up allowing for couples to learn about the services that are provided by participating companies. The event brings together wedding professionals in different areas, displaying popular trends and unique offerings.
Jeanette Goins, Director of Marketing for the Convention Center, said the event is beneficial for all couples because there’s every facet of a wedding at the event. In the past they have had venue representatives, caterers, DJs, photographers and videographers in attendance.
“Everyone can search online, but it’s good to have that face-to-face interaction with the service,” Goins said.
The Convention Center was not able to have the wedding show in 2021, but Goins said 2020 brought in nearly 600 people, including about 200 brides.
All who register get a chance at door prizes including a free rental package from the Owensboro Convention Center valued at more than $3,500.
Admission is $3 for adults. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door.
