Owensboro Convention Center is hosting its third annual Happy HalloWine Cork & Cuisine event on Oct. 24.
“The theme is always one of everyone’s favorites because they can dress up,” said Laura Alexander, general manager of the convention center. “The Halloween themed Cork and Cuisine allows us to get more creative with our culinary presentations because it isn’t just how the food tastes but how it is presented.”
The 21-and-over event pairs wines and spirits with a “devilish” five-course dinner with names like “Creepy Crudite with Rancid Dip” and “Herb Marinated Silence of the Lambs Chop.”
A costume contest will be held and prizes will be awarded to the funniest, scariest and best overall.
A Halloween movie trivia contest will be held with chances to win a bottle of each of the wines and spirits served throughout the dinner and some of the table centerpieces.
Tickets are $65.25 per person or two for $115. Tickets include all wines and spirits and may be purchased online at OwensboroTickets.com, at the Owensboro Convention Center Box Office or charged by phone at 270-297-9932. Additional processing fees apply to all ticket sales.
Reservations are required.
The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Owensboro Convention Center located at 501 West Second St.
