The Owensboro Art Guild is bringing back their free downtown Fine Art Festival on July 15, with more than 30 area artists exhibiting and selling their work.
The event will be held in the Riverfront Crossing courtyard behind Fetta Specialty Pizza at 118 Saint Ann Street.
Area artists will be exhibiting and selling from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on artwork will include paintings, sculpture, mixed media, mosaics, pottery, jewelry, basketry, and photography.
Artists will compete for first, second and third place Awards of Excellence.
A tent where children can create art on wood, rocks, and T-shirts will be manned by volunteers from Girls Inc., and there will also be live music by Beyond Blu.
Participating artists also have artwork displayed at Independence Bank at 2425 Frederica St. until the end of July.
“This is a free, family-friendly event,” said organizer and local artist Leeza Dukes. “Join us in bringing our community together.”
