The Fear Expo, a National tradeshow for Haunted Attractions, returns to the Owensboro Convention Center from April 12-14. The event brings together haunters and vendors and showcases some of the industry’s latest products and services.
The show will run from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Friday night’s festivities include dinner and a show by illusionist Ryan Brown at 6:30 p.m., followed by Hellzapoppin, a circus sideshow from 9-10:30 p.m. Then Mr. Lugosi will provide live music as the nightcap from 11 p.m. to midnight.
On Saturday, there will be a circus-themed costume ball and contest, with live performances and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Each day of the show also features classes, ranging from make-up and airbrush techniques to scare actor training and Silicone 101. Courses on social media, set design, monster mask and head sculpting, costumes, animatronics, and much more are also offered.
Fear Expo promises its exhibitors buyers from several industries, including bowling alleys and mini golf, corn mazes and pumpkin patches, paintball and foam party facilities, escape rooms, amusement parks, and more.
