Josh Bevil recently launched Holes to Go Owensboro – a portable putt-putt golf course available for rent in the area. He said the 9-hole mini golf course is the perfect go-to for birthday parties, corporate functions, church events, and more.

“Everyone loves mini golf,” he said. “There wasn’t one in the Owensboro area, and this offers a convenient way to enjoy the fun. This is something fun for people of all ages.”

Holes to Go offers various sizes of putters to accommodate adults and children of all sizes. The rental includes colored golf balls, just like at a putt-putt course.

Bevil said he had been looking for an opportunity to begin a side business and thought this was the perfect opportunity.

“I did a lot of research and knew there was a market for this. It’s something different and memorable,” he said. “What appealed to me is how it is something for all ages, making it a great addition to any event or party.”

Holes to Go began in Chatanooga, TN, slowly expanding across Tennessee. The Holes to Go founder packages and sells the business model to entrepreneurs nationwide. There’s no franchising fee, only the initial start-up costs.

Others have launched the concept in Florida, while Holes to Go Owensboro is the first in the bluegrass state.

Bevil grew up in Ohio County and relocated to Owensboro after marrying his wife. He takes pride in offering the service to the community and will consider expanding if the opportunity arises.

Bevil offers custom pricing for multiple-sized parties and delivers, sets up, and tears down the course at each stop. Holes to Go Owensboro is also searching for partners during the winter months. Bevil said he would love to partner with gyms, churches, and other indoor facilities to offer family fun when it’s cold outside.
