Alma Jean “Mammie” Smith, 84, was reunited on January 30, 2022, with her husband of 59 1/2 years, Jessie Smith. She was born in Bloomington, IL on November 27, 1937, to the late James Ollie Smith and Versie Brooks Smith. Jean was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening and serving others. She attended the Breckinridge Mennonite Church in Stephensport, KY. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Smith and her granddaughter, Lori Duke.
Jean leaves behind her 8 children to mourn her passing and cherish her memory.
5 sons: Roger Smith (Sheila) of Hardinsburg; Ricky Smith, Robert “Bob” Smith (Michele) and Ronald Smith (Carol) of Cloverport; Steve Smith (Angela) of McQuady.
3 daughters: Sandra “Sis” Bellew (Doug); Mable Duke and Cynthia “Tilda-Tilda” McCarty of Cloverport.
Brother: William Smith of Cannelton
Sisters: Marcella Diehl of Hardinsburg and Roberta Wirtz of Greenville, IL
16 Grandchildren, 27 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM
Visitation on Thursday from 10-1 PM
Burial will be in Calvary Temple Cemetery in Balltown, KY
