Area high school bowling teams will be competing in the KHSAA Region 1 Tournament this weekend at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green.
Owensboro area programs from Apollo, Daviess County, Owensboro Catholic, Owensboro High School, Ohio County, and Henderson County will be competing against teams from the Paducah and Bowling Green areas, amongst others.
There are separate singles and team tournaments for the boys and girls programs. For singles, each participating school can submit their top-four bowlers to compete, with the overall top 4 finishers moving on to the State Tournament. For the team event, the top-two teams go to State. The boys tournament is Friday and the girls tournament is Saturday.
