Owensboro wrestling had cause for celebration on Saturday, as it grabbed its first top-10 finish this season at the Capital City Classic at Franklin County High School.
The Red Devils finished ninth of out of 20 teams this past weekend, with three of the seven wrestlers placing in the top-four.
Andres Quintana earned a first-place finish at 138 pounds, Aiden McLaughlin finished fourth at 126 pounds and Devon Carr finished fourth at 165 pounds.
Head Coach Austin Cook said that Owensboro has been improving at a steady pace all season and are really starting to come into form late in the season.
Continuing to make forward progression, the Red Devils will be competing this weekend at the Kentucky Wesleyan College Duals.
