Local Kentucky veterans group hosting concert to benefit tornado victims

Members of American Veterans, or AMVETS, will host a benefit concert at the organization’s establishment, engaging in the organization’s primary mission: to serve American veterans, their families, and the communities in which they live.

American Veterans of Post 119 will host a benefit concert Dec. 18 at 12 p.m. CT to support victims in the Kentucky community stricken by tornadoes earlier this month. Performers include Beyond Blu, Amy Jo Maden, Crooked Eye Tommy, Tommy Stidwell, Kim Grady, Chester Ray, and more.

Veterans with the AMVETS organization as well as musical performers will be available for interview, including AMVETS State Commander for Kentucky Bill Adkins and AMVETS National Commander Greg Heun, who will be traveling from Washington D.C. to visit his home state. Members of the post, as well as neighboring installations, will be in attendance to support AMVETS’ primary mission as an organization: to serve American veterans, their families, and the communities in which they live.
