
Cecelia Sue Anderson, 82, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home. She was born in Owensboro to the late Earl and Margaret Wade.
Cecelia worked at General Electric for many years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, canning, crocheting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William H. “Bill” Anderson in 2016; an infant son, Byron Dale Anderson; two brothers; and one sister.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by daughters, Karen Anderson Kistner (Ronnie Cox) of Owensboro and Darlene McDonald (Tim) of Evanston, IN; four grandchildren, Eric Kistner of Nashville, TN, Amanda McDonald Tucker (Nathan) of Richland, IN, Jason McDonald of Evanston, IN, and Brandon Kistner of Nashville, TN; five great-grandchildren, Cire Kistner, Xenia Kistner, Eli Tucker, Graham Tucker and Landon Kistner; two sisters, Betty Gaddis (J.C.) and Lillian Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
The service will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 17 at Christ Chapel in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
