A teenager was found with multiple stab wounds and another person had facial injuries from an incident Thursday night, according to the Owensboro Police Department. OPD also responded to two separate incidents of an occupied vehicle struck by gunfire, with neither resulting in injuries.
At approximately 10:11 p.m, OPD responded to the 2100 block of Churchill Court for a 15-year-old-male with multiple stab wounds and a 20-year-old male with multiple facial injuries from an assault. Investigators believe there was an altercation between
a large group of individuals where both victims sustained their injuries. Both
were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with what are believed
to be non-life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 7:25 p.m, OPD responded to the intersection of W. 10th Street and Omega Street for a firearm discharge. A vehicle occupied by two victims was struck three times by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. Friday, OPD responded to the 2000 block of W. 3rd Street for a firearm discharge. A vehicle occupied by one victim was struck a single time by
gunfire, but no injuries were reported. Carlis W. Wells, 21, of Evansville, was charged later Friday morning with first-degree wanton endangerment in this case.
