Multiple gameday changes have been made in regards to the upcoming 2021 season.
The Panthers will be relocating to the east sideline in front of the chairback seating, while the visiting teams will be relocating to the west sideline. This change allows for a shorter walk to restrooms, concessions, the Panther Den, as well as better ADA handicap seating and will allow for fans to sit in the chairback seating behind the home bench.
Although the Kentucky State mask mandate has been lifted, and Steele Stadium will be at 100% capacity for the 2021 season, fans are still encouraged to follow all local, state and CDC recommendations for masking and safety protocols, which are subject to change, throughout the season.
The Panther Athletic Fund and Touchdown Club will be launching the official Panther tailgate this season, with more details to come at a later date.
Head Coach Craig Yeast stated the move from one sideline to the other will offer a much better fan experience for Panther nation. They are extremely excited about the full stadium and are looking forward to Panther nation getting rowdy and fans watching them win games this year.
“We are excited for our upcoming football season and to announce enhancements to our gameday experience for our students, families, and faithful football fans,” said Interim Athletic Director Mark Shook. “We are working on ways to build our student section to include more fun and interactive ways to be involved that give us the best home-field advantage possible. Stay tuned as we work towards even more announcements in the coming weeks.”
