In addition to the Mile of Music, Week 8 of Friday After 5 will feature a parade for the USSSA World Series Tournament teams along with a “Toast to the Sunset” to honor local first responders who gave their lives in the line of duty.
The parade, featuring 54 teams, begins at 5:15 p.m. and will go from the RiverPark Center to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum. The Toast to the Sunset is at 8 p.m. on the Jagoe Homes Patio Stage.
The music will kick of with Josh Orion, followed by San Diego artists Casey & Romy. The SunBurners will host an “Island Party” on their stage, with country music artist Mitch Rossell closing down the night at the RiverPark Center’s outdoor stage.

Street closure and parking:
The City of Owensboro will close 2nd Street to traffic from Daviess Street to St. Ann Street on Friday starting at 5 p.m.
The parking structure on Daviess Street can still be accessed with a $5 fee. The parking structure on Locust Street is free for the first two hours, with a fee of up to $6 after that.
