Claudette Field Barnes, 83, of Owensboro, passed away April 3, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born January 27, 1938 in Owensboro to the late Jewell and Theatus McCarty Field. Claudette was a homemaker and a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Justice Steven Barnes in 2013.
She is survived by two daughters, Melanie Varda (Ken) of Hebron, KY and Stephanie Durham (Scott) of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Alexandra Davis, Jordan Durham, Caroline Varda, and Kyle Durham; and one great-grandchild, Jett Durham.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sorgho. James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
