Jerry Wayne Floyd

January 5, 1968 - September 1, 2018

Jerry Wayne Floyd, 50, of Owensboro, passed away September 1, 2018 while at his home by the lake. He was born January 5, 1968, in Grundy, Ill. to Jackie and Susan Church Floyd.

Jerry grew up in Philpot and graduated from Daviess County High School in 1986. He was the owner of Window Films by Floyd for over 30 years. Growing up Jerry played baseball, showed horses, and raced motorcycles. Jerry always gave 110% in everything he did. He lived life to the fullest and had a big heart. He loved anything fast, his cars, boats and even when mowing the yard. Jerry enjoyed time with his family and friends, whether at his shop or the lake spending time on the water.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arvel and Emma Jean Church; and his paternal grandparents, Harlan and Mary Edna Floyd.

Jerry is survived by his parents, Jackie and Susan Floyd; his loving wife, Kim Rhinerson Floyd; two daughters, Samantha Cravens (Hugh), and Lauren Floyd; a stepdaughter, Brandi Rhinerson; two stepsons, Justin Rhinerson (Stephanie), and Josh Rhinerson (Dana); eight step-grandchildren; one great step grandchild; several aunts, uncles and cousins; also Jerry had an endless number of friends that he had come to know over the years that he loved just like family, and as he would say “God love’em”.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jerry’s life from 3 – 8 PM on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
