COVID-19 update: 4 deaths, 160 cases, 202 recoveries reported for district

A total of 160 more cases of COVID-19 and 202 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 94 cases and 145 recoveries in Daviess County. Four more coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (94), Hancock (13), Henderson (15), McLean (5), Ohio (24), Union (3), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (145), Hancock (4), Henderson (26), McLean (3), Ohio (11), Union (10), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 12,410
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 9,364 (75%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 41
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 631 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 221

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 5,529 cases, 4,122 recovered, 28 current hospitalizations, 245 ever hospitalized, 88 deaths
  • Hancock County – 415 cases, 304 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 19 ever hospitalized, 12 deaths
  • Henderson County – 2,851 cases, 2,112 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 159 ever hospitalized, 48 deaths
  • McLean County – 529 cases, 410 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 37 ever hospitalized, 21 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,469 cases, 1,138 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 86 ever hospitalized, 30 deaths
  • Union County – 902 cases, 732 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 45 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 715 cases, 546 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 40 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.2%
  • Female: 54.8%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 48 cases
  • 1-11 — 396 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,003 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,024 cases
  • 30-39 — 1,903 cases
  • 40-49 — 1,912 cases
  • 50-59 — 1,783 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,574 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,008 cases
  • 80+ — 759 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
