Cordelia Bell “Sis” Roberts, 94, of Maceo, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Daviess County to the late Roy and Edith Mae Morris Bell.
Mrs. Roberts retired from General Electric and was the oldest member of Maceo United Methodist Church. She enjoyed puzzle books, reading Danielle Steel books and flower gardening. Most of all, Cordelia loved spending time with family and friends and especially treasured the family trips to Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Otto Roberts, Jr. in 1992 and a brother, J.W. Bell.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by a daughter, Mary Calhoun (Jimmy) of Lewisport; a son, James Roy Roberts (Anne) of Owensboro; grandchildren, David Calhoun of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Calhoun of Lewisport and Travis Roberts of Owensboro; a sister-in-law, Marie Bell of Maceo; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be 12 Noon Thursday, September 6 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM and from 11:00 AM until Noon Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
