Maddy Nanney has always dreamed of owning her own clothing store. The self-proclaimed fashion-lover started a blog about trends and styles in high school is now the owner of Confetti Boutique.
“I knew I could create a boutique unlike any other I’d ever shopped at — one that brought people joy and combined all of my favorite things — bright colors, trendy style, and feminine details,” Nanney said.
Not only does she have an online store, but she has a mobile store that she pulls all across town to serve customers at local pop-up shops.
Confetti Boutique is all about bright colors, trendy style, and unique clothing and accessories.
“I strive to provide my customers with a place to shop that brings them joy and outfits that make their day a little brighter,” she said. “I want my customers to feel like their day is a little bit brighter after shopping at Confetti Boutique and anytime they wear one of their outfits from my shop.”
Her boutique offers sizes small to 2X and has something for women of all ages.
Nanney said the mobile boutique is serving her well and she loves being able to meet customers face-to-face at her pop-up shops around town.
The next pop-up shop for the Confetti Boutique is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 14 at Christmas at the Hagan House, 1610 Hagan Lane S.
“It’s a big event with multiple vendors so I think it’s going to be really cool,” she said. “It’s their first time doing the event but if all goes well I think they want to make it an annual thing.”
She said she also has a pop-up planned with about 10 local small businesses on Dec. 6 at The Party Space Place.
Nanney said she encourages people to check out Confetti Boutique because they will have pieces unlike what is offered at other boutiques.
“Whether they are shopping online or at a pop-up, I know my store will make their day a little brighter,” she said. “For the holidays, we will have merchandise that will make amazing gifts for loved ones too. One of my focuses is providing all of this at an affordable price point. That was one thing I was sure I was going to do when I created Confetti Boutique — offer high quality, unique clothing at an amazing price point.”
She offers free delivery in Owensboro and encourages those who want to “shop small” but don’t want to leave home to shop online at shopconfettiboutique.com.
