The Daviess County Panthers boys’ and girls’ cross country teams, along with the Apollo Eagles, picked up some early preseason accolades this week.
Both DC squads were picked third in the Class 3A preseason rankings, according to Kentucky MileSplit, while Apollo was picked fifth on the boys’ side.
On the boys’ side, St. Xavier earned the top spot while Louisville Trinity was picked second.
On the girls’ side, Oldham County was picked first and duPont Manual was voted the second-best team in 3A.
Daviess County was the only school in 3A to have both teams picked inside the top five.
