The housing market remains strong locally, as the Greater Owensboro Realtor Association reported a record-setting June with a total of 171 homes sold for just more than $31 million.
The median price for those homes were $150,000, and they were on the market for an average of 81 days.
In May, 107 homes were sold for nearly $18 million with a median price of $165,000. They were on the market for an average of 99 days.
“The market came roaring back in June,” said Karen Gross, president of GORA. “June 2020 was the best June and highest monthly sales volume in five years. All signs point to incredible months ahead.”
In June of 2019, GORA reported 156 homes sold for roughly $27.64 million.
Jason Bellamy, president-elect of GORA added, “A record-low inventory and record-high June pending listings signal a continuing strong market through the summer.”
