On Wednesday, Owensboro Police Department officers responded with the Owensboro Fire Department and AMR ambulance service to the Days Inn at 3720 New Hartford Road on a medical emergency.
First Responders located Christopher Riggs, 38, of Owensboro dead at the scene. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division and officers from the Evidence Collection Unit responded, as well as the Daviess County Coroner’s Office.
After an autopsy was performed on Thursday, this death is now being investigated as a homicide.
